| The conference will be organized at the campus of the Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria, which is traditionally a leader in Austrian High-Performance Computing.
At present, the University of Linz features a SGI Origin 3800 with 128 processors, the fastest academic and research supercomputer of Austria (Position 350, 17th Top500, June 2001). Additional highlights are a room-sized, 3-dimensional CAVE Virtual Reality Center and the Wireless Campus Project.
The university campus is located on the border of the city of Ars Electronica, the Cloud of Sound, and the
Bruckner Festival.
Situated in the middle of Europe, Linz is close to Vienna (190 km),
Salzburg (130 km), Prague (240 km), Munich (270 km), and Budapest (440 km).
